He had autistic like behavior rooted in Landau Kleffner Syndrome. As for her journey, it's more than suspect her son was diagnosed and within 3 years, he was cured, she hit the talk shows, wrote a few books, appeared in rallies, went on Oprah, etc...the typical Hollywood shuffle and hype to gain attention. SHe's a fraud. Case in point: it takes a fake case to feel for another FAKE case as in Desiree Jenkins. Shortly after Jenkin's story became known around the country, the Jenny McCarthy group "Generation Rescue", an anti-vaccine, anti-established medicine group adopted Ms. Jennings’ cause. They referred Ms. Jennings to one Dr. Buttar in North Carolina. Dr. Buttar has been criticized, legally prosecuted, and censored by his peers because of some unsafe, unnecessary, and unproven practices in taking care of cancer and neurological disorder patients. Long story short, he sold snake oil to some people who were dying of cancer and promised them a cure... for a price. Well, Jenny is doing same thing. Selling FALSE hope and covering her a..by having big names sprinkle her book covers since they are all sold out for a quick buck too. Just sad and disgusting. Where is respect for truth?
